1. Artist networking
There have been several times in the history of art when “schools” emerged. These were really gatherings of like-minded artists who shared their artistic vision, encouraged one another and organized artistic presentations. The impressionist school in Paris is probably the most outstanding example.

A basic foundation for accomplishing the vision and purpose of Living Fire Arts is the establishment of meeting place for exactly this kind of activity. We view it as a greenhouse, a place where we can start new baby plants and nurture them as they grow to the fruit-bearing stage. We envision the following phases:

a) monthly artists prayer breakfast – an informal time to meet, exchange, worship and pray with one another

b) the “Lord's Living Room” – a monthly opportunity to explore worship and prayer using creative expression and improvisation

2. Bring the Arts to Life
A yearly seminar for young people interested in exploring their potential in the arts. The basic concept is a week long seminar during which professional artists teach in their respective fields to a small groups of students. The week includes performances by the instructors and the students, creative worship experimentation, teaching on topics related to a Christian vision for making art, and daily opportunities for prayer.

3. Arts Seminars
Arts seminars are designed to bring vision for the arts into the local church. We bring a small team to present the subject material in an interactive, participatory manner. We want to use art to teach about art!

4. Performances
We anticipate art projects emerging from the interaction between artists in the network and put our time, energy and money into helping artists bring their vision to presentation. In Europe there are two outstanding examples of this, the musical “Faces” and the multi-media project “Waterjump.”

5. International Artist Exchange
Having lived in Europe for 12 years and experienced the joy of working with incredibly creative and innovative people, there is a burning on my heart to enable some of these artists to come to the United States, and for groups of American artists to travel to Europe. We believe that the cross-pollination will be important for the church on both sides of the water. We have also seen how incredibly encourageing it is for artists to work with and get to know believing artists from a different culture.

6. The Fire House art and prayer center
A more long range project will be setting up “Fire House 2” … a center for art and prayer. Our experience in Europe in the Fire House was exhiliarating spiritually and creatively. We were engaged in multiple meetings for prayer and worship every week, where creativity was free to express the longings of the heart before God, and to speak God's truth into our hearts. We saw many art projects take shape in rehearsal and in performance in the Fire House. Four CD projects were born there… We are praying towards a multi-purpose space that can house all of these activities and become a place where we can bring the arts into the house of prayer, and then be released to take it to the streets.
